Committee Members

Jack is a Barrister at Ropewalk Chambers, having joined Chambers as a pupil in 2022 and as a tenant in 2023. Jack completed his law conversion and BPTC at Nottingham Law School and has thereafter enjoyed being a member of the NJLD whilst growing his practice at the Bar.

After serving as Bar Representative in the office’s inaugural year, Jack was delighted to see the link between the local Bar and local junior lawyers grow in earnest.

Jack is excited to continue fostering congeniality and cohesion within Nottinghamshire’s junior legal community as Chair.

Outside work, Jack enjoys walks in the countryside, going to the theatre and pretending to have a good aim for clay pigeons.

Joe is a first-year trainee solicitor at Roythornes Solicitors, having recently completed his LPC part-time at Nottingham Trent University.

Joe has been active in the NJLD for several years and thinks it is invaluable for junior lawyers. This is his third year on the committee. He is excited to be able to step into the position of Vice-Chair and continue to support the NJLD it it’s goal of empowering junior lawyers, and putting on some great events while doing it. Outside of work Joe enjoys running, badminton, and frequenting any bar with decent cocktails or ale.

Joshua is a Paralegal at Browne Jacobson, specialising in Dispute Resolution and Housing Law. This is Joshua's first year on the committee, after 2 years of being a member within the NJLD. Joshua is excited to support the committee in being the best they can be through all the hard work of organising another year of events and opportunities for 2026.

Katie is a Solicitor in the Court of Protection team at MJC Law, she qualified in March 2025. She completed both her undergraduate and LPC LLM degrees at Nottingham Trent University.

She has been a member of the NJLD for several years and has served on the committee as Secretary and Treasurer in the past. Katie is excited to continue on the committee in the role of Treasurer this year.

After work, Katie regularly goes swimming and does Tae Kwon Do ITF. In her spare time, Katie enjoys going for long walks, baking and learning languages.

Jade is a solicitor in the Court of Protection team at MJC Law.

Jade joined MJC Law as a paralegal in September 2022.

Jade completed her undergraduate law degree at the University of Nottingham. Jade then undertook the SQE 1 and 2 Preparation Course at Nottingham Trent University, which allowed Jade to also achieve her master’s degree.

Jade qualified as a solicitor in December 2025.

After being a long-time supporter of the NJLD, Jade is excited to join the NJLD Committee as a Ball Representative.

Outside of work Jade is an avid reader and loves to go on walks in the countryside. 

Hannah is a solicitor apprentice at MJC Law in their Court of Protection team. Alongside working full-time, she is studying at Nottingham Trent University and is in the final year of her LLB Law Degree.

In her spare time, Hannah enjoys travelling, baking and spending time with her friends and family.

Zahra is a Trainee Solicitor in the Real Estate team at Nelsons Solicitors, having joined the firm in November 2025. She graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2021 and completed her LPC at Nottingham Law School in 2023. Zahra returns to the committee for a second year, bringing continuity and fresh perspective in a new role as Media Representative. With experience from their previous position as Ball Representative, Zahra is committed to enhancing communication and engagement through dynamic media strategies.

Her focus this year will be on strengthening the committee’s online presence and ensuring timely, impactful updates for all members. Outside of work, Zahra plays competitive volleyball in the National Volleyball League (NVL), enjoys going to the gym and reading, and is a big fan of tapas.

Giacomo is a Dispute Resolution Solicitor at Nelsons Solicitors. Having completed both an undergraduate degree and LPC at De Montfort University, he continues to have a strong relationship with the lecturers at the university and has been a professional mentor as a part of their ‘LawLink’ initiative.

Giacomo is also the regional representative in the Nottingham area for LegalRunners; an initiative set up by the current president of the Law Society. He encourages others in the legal profession to get out of the office to network with others doing something other than going to the pub or for coffee.

Having attended many NJLD events, Giacomo is ready to get stuck in and promote the NJLD to the wider legal community in Nottingham and bring a fresh perspective of how to include more junior lawyers across the region.

Outside of work, Giacomo enjoys a balance of all sorts of activities, be that running, playing football, playing video games, amateur dramatics or visiting the theatre. He also loves travelling to different countries for large events like the Olympics and Eurovision.

Laura is a Trainee Solicitor at Browne Jacobson qualifying via the Solicitor Apprenticeship route. Laura commenced her apprenticeship in 2018 and is therefore currently studying for her Solicitor Qualifying Exams. 

At work, Laura works in the Public Law Team and is involved in a variety of matters including planning, environmental and litigated matters. 

It is Laura’s first year on the NJLD committee and her role will involve planning the NJLD events throughout the year. 

In Laura’s spare time, she likes to balance work and study with trips to the gym as well as socialising and especially enjoys a good bottomless brunch!

Charlotte is a Trade Mark Formalities and Online Brand Enforcement at HGF Limited. She has recently started this role and is an aspiring trade mark attorney. She was previously the in-house representative on the committee but hopes to use her experience towards planning and holding events for NJLD this year.

 In Charlotte’s spare time, she is an aerialist and has recently started entering aerial competitions, as well as trying new aerial equipment

Lakhvir Singh is a 2 PQE Commercial Dispute Resolution Solicitor at Alexander and Co Solicitors in West Bridgford, Nottingham. Born and raised in Nottingham, he completed his LPC at Nottingham Law School and has developed a strong and diverse professional network across the UK.

As the NJLD National Representative, Lakhvir is committed to championing the views and ideas of junior lawyers and ensuring their voices are heard within the wider legal community. His work as an advocate for diversity and inclusion, combined with his ability to build connections across regions and practice areas, places him in a strong position to make national developments more accessible to members and to help them grow and expand their own networks.

Drawing on his experience in event organisation and community engagement, he aims to strengthen the NJLD presence nationally and ensure that members feel supported, represented, and connected.

Dominic joined Ropewalk Chambers as a tenant in 2024. He moved from northwest London to Nottingham for pupillage and is keen to encourage local barristers to get down to NJLD events and grow the relationship between the Bar and junior lawyers. 

Outside work, Dominic enjoys playing and watching sports, travelling and enjoying one of Nottingham’s many excellent pubs.

I am a Chartered Legal Executive at Nelsons Solicitors in the Court of Protection team. I joined Nelsons in 2018 fresh out of University as a Paralegal and qualified as a Cilex Fellow in 2023. In my free time, I can be found in my local pub or enjoying some wild swimming (all year round!).

Mollie is a Paralegal at Molson Coors Beverage Company, where she supports the procurement and operations teams on a wide range of commercial and contractual matters. She brings experience from private practice, having previously worked at Browne Jacobson as a Legal Assistant for a year and a half.

Mollie is excited to represent in-house junior lawyers within the Nottinghamshire Junior Lawyers Division and looks forward to using her background to help foster collaboration between private practice and in-house professionals during her first year on the committee.

Outside of work, Mollie has a passion for live music and regularly attends gigs and festivals. She also enjoys baking and cooking, and when time allows, she takes to the court for a game of netball.

Molly is a paralegal in the Court of Protection team at MJC Law and is currently studying for her SQE exams.

She is excited to join the NJLD committee and support members to grow in confidence, broaden their knowledge across different practice areas and opportunities, and feel empowered to pursue their legal careers.

Outside of work, Molly enjoys going to the gym, going for long walks and reading.
