Shannon is a Corporate Solicitor at Austin Moore & Partners and Chair for the 2025 NJLD Committee, having previously served as part of the Marketing Team last year.
Shannon has loved seeing the variety of events and opportunities open to junior lawyers and is looking forward to expanding on this in 2025.
Outside of work Shannon enjoys building on her ever-expanding home library (she might never finish reading the books), crafting and being forced to go for hikes in the Peak District by her husband.
Jack Stuart

Jack is a Barrister at Ropewalk Chambers, having joined Chambers as a pupil in 2022 and as a tenant in 2023. Jack completed his law conversion and BPTC at Nottingham Law School and has thereafter enjoyed being a member of the NJLD whilst growing his practice at the Bar.
After serving as Bar Representative in the office’s inaugural year, Jack was delighted to see the link between the local Bar and local junior lawyers grow in earnest.
Jack is excited to continue fostering congeniality and cohesion within Nottinghamshire’s junior legal community as Vice-Chair.
Outside work, Jack enjoys walks in the countryside, going to the theatre and pretending to have a good aim for clay pigeons.
Joshua Lewis

Joshua is a Paralegal at Browne Jacobson, specialising in Dispute Resolution and Housing Law. This is Joshua's first year on the committee, after 2 years of being a member within the NJLD. Joshua is excited to support the committee in being the best they can be through all the hard work of organising another year of events and opportunities for 2025.

Katie Hall

Katie is a Trainee Solicitor in the Court of Protection team at MJC Law, she commenced her Training Contract in September 2023.
She has been a member of the NJLD for a number of years and is now excited to commence her first year on the NJLD Committee as Secretary. She completed both her undergraduate and LPC LLM degrees at Nottingham Trent University.
After work, Katie regularly goes swimming and does Tae Kwon Do ITF and enjoys competing at events for both sports. In her spare time, Katie enjoys going for long walks, baking and learning languages.

Joe is a paralegal in the commercial litigation team at Nelsons Solicitors. He graduated from Keele University with a degree in law and is currently studying part-time for his LPC at Nottingham Trent.
After two years of being active at junior lawyer events, this is Joe’s second year on the committee. He is looking forward to supporting the NJLD’s members and attending what he is sure will be a year of great events. Please get in contact if you have any membership enquiries!
Outside of work Joe enjoys running, badminton, and frequenting any bar with decent cocktails or ale.
Caitlin Orr

Caitlin is a trainee solicitor at Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP in the Nottingham office, having started in September 2024. Previously Caitlin worked for two years at Eversheds Sutherland as a paralegal in the Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team. This is her first year on the NJLD Committee, having been a member and attended numerous events over the past few years.
Caitlin studied Business Management (with Integrated Work Placement) at Cardiff University and graduated in 2020 before completing her GDL there and then going on to study the LPC BSc at the University of Law. She is looking forward to joining the NJLD Marketing Team and becoming more involved in the work of the Committee and engaging with its members.
Outside of work, Caitlin enjoys going to the gym, running half marathons and playing padel tennis. She also enjoys visiting new cities, experiencing new cultures and trying new restaurants.

I am an Apprentice Solicitor in the Court of Protection and Trust Administration team at Nelsons Solicitors. I have taken part in many NJLD events since joining Nelsons in March 2022 and am excited to be part of the committee for 2025.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, spending time with friends and family and going out for food and drinks. I am also a Trustee of Radcooks Community Kitchen who provide Sunday lunches every week to the elderly and vulnerable in Radcliffe-on-Trent.

Emma is a Corporate Solicitor at Austin Moore & Partners LLP. A longstanding member of the NJLD, this is Emma’s first year on the committee and she hopes to build on the excellent work of those who came before her in expanding the range of networking opportunities for junior lawyers and professionals in Nottingham.
In her spare time, Emma enjoys reading, knitting, eating her own baking and staring at empty word documents while pretending to work on her novel.
Laura Morland

Laura is a Trainee Solicitor at Browne Jacobson qualifying via the Solicitor Apprenticeship route. Laura commenced her apprenticeship in 2018 and is therefore currently studying for her Solicitor Qualifying Exams.
At work, Laura works in the Public Law Team and is involved in a variety of matters including planning, environmental and litigated matters.
It is Laura’s first year on the NJLD committee and her role will involve planning the NJLD events throughout the year.
In Laura’s spare time, she likes to balance work and study with trips to the gym as well as socialising and especially enjoys a good bottomless brunch!

Lakhvir Singh is a 1 PQE Commercial Dispute Resolution Solicitor at Nelsons Solicitors. Born and raised in Nottingham, Lakhvir completed his LPC at Nottingham Law School and has built a strong professional network across the Midlands.
As the NJLD Ball Representative for 2025, he brings experience in event planning and a passion for organising memorable occasions. With a background that includes managing events and running a bar, Lakhvir is committed to making the Winter Ball and Summer Soiree highlights of the NJLD calendar, fostering connections and celebrating the achievements of junior lawyers in Nottinghamshire.
Zahra Ali

Zahra is a paralegal in the Commercial Property team at Geldards LLP. She graduated from Nottingham Trent University and completed her LPC at Nottingham Law School. This is her first year on the committee, though she has been a member of NJLD for several years. Zahra is excited to collaborate with Lakhvir and the rest of the committee to bring you the biggest events on the NJLD calendar.
Outside of work, Zahra plays volleyball in the National Volleyball League (NVL), enjoys reading, and is a big fan of tapas.

Helen is a trainee solicitor at Shoosmiths, having joined the firm as a paralegal in 2021.
Helen studied BA Law at the University of Nottingham and completed her LPC LLM at the University of Law. She has been a member of the NJLD for the last few years and is looking forward to being on the committee for the first time.
Outside of work, Helen plays competitive tennis, enjoys running and has recently taken up triathlon.

Grace is a newly qualified Court of Protection Solicitor at Nelsons Solicitors. She was born in Newcastle upon Tyne and completed her law degree in Northumbria University. She then moved to Leeds to complete her LPC LLM at the University of Law before moving to Nottingham to commence her training contract with Nelsons.
Outside of work, Grace enjoys spending most of her time at church, whether her local church in Nottingham or her home church in Newcastle, where she serves as a Youth Leader, Choir member and Secretary in the Planning Committee. She also likes going to the gym, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
Grace is excited to help bridge the gap between education and career opportunities, ensuring that both aspiring and present lawyers have the tools to succeed in their studies and professional life.
Charlotte Harvie

Charlotte is a Brand Protection Advisor at Games Workshop, working closely with the core legal team. She has recently moved in-house after working as a Legal Assistant at Browne Jacobson for two years while completing her undergraduate law degree. This is Charlotte's first year on the committee and she is eager to connect in-house legal professionals with those in private practice to assist in expanding people's networks.
Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys pilates and yoga, as well as writing for her intellectual property blog. She has also recently filled her time with decorating her new home in Nottingham.

Dominic joined Ropewalk Chambers as a tenant in 2024. He moved from northwest London to Nottingham for pupillage and is keen to encourage local barristers to get down to NJLD events and grow the relationship between the Bar and junior lawyers.
Outside work, Dominic enjoys playing and watching sports, travelling and enjoying one of Nottingham’s many excellent pubs.
