Past Presidents' Lunch 2024

The annual luncheon gathering of the Society's former presidents takes place on the initial Friday of December at the revered Trent Bridge Cricket Club. This year, a total of twenty four previous presidents came together to reminisce about the past years and receive updates on the Society from the Immediate Past President, Stephen Luke.

The luncheon provided the Society with a chance to document on film the memories and narratives of its history from former presidents, as we commence the celebration of 150 years of one of the oldest local law societies in England and Wales.

Videographer Dan Lambourne recorded the moments when all the past presidents gathered on the Trent Bridge terrace, reflecting on their leadership experiences with the society. The Society's official photographer, Jay Glenn, was also present to capture these behind-the-scenes moments, along with the warm welcomes of everyone as they arrived.

This luncheon stands as one of the numerous cherished events on the Society's schedule. It offers us an opportunity to honor our history and toast to those who are no longer with us. Regrettably, this year's gathering was marked by the absence of a former President from Newark, David Payne, who sadly passed away at the end of November.
