On Wednesday, 18th June, the legal community of Nottinghamshire came together in a powerful show of support for access to justice, raising vital funds for the Nottingham Law Centre.
The walk began at the Magistrates’ Court, led by an esteemed group including HHJ Coe KC, Nottinghamshire Law Society Vice President Drew Dennis, High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire Ed Attenborough, and Past President Deborah Hutchinson. They were joined by 160 enthusiastic walkers from member firms, along with dedicated stewards from NTU Law School and University of Nottingham School of Law.
This special evening also marked the 150th anniversary of the Nottinghamshire Law Society, celebrated with a unique and technically impressive filming session. A heartfelt thank you goes to the Justice Centre for granting filming permissions, to Dan Lambourne for his exceptional videography that captured the spirit of the Society, and to Jay Glenn for the fantastic team photos and for embracing the historic walking challenge in the city.
We’re also incredibly grateful to Browne Jacobson and Whittaker Workplace Solutions for generously sponsoring the post-walk drinks at Canalhouse, whose hospitality made the evening even more memorable.
