Newly Qualified Solicitors & Tenant Barristers Dinner 2024

On the 21st of November, we convened at the Cuban-themed eatery, Revolucion De Cuba, to celebrate the legal achievements of the newly qualified solicitors and recent tenant barristers in Nottinghamshire. The event was sponsored by BCL Legal, one of the leading legal recruitment firm in the UK. Representing the agency, Lauren Evans, an Associate at BCL Legal, was present at the occasion.

This year, the event was reimagined as a formal dinner. As guests arrived, they were greeted with a choice of a cocktail or a mocktail, providing them with an opportunity to socialize and engage in conversation before being seated for dinner.

The finalists were chosen from numerous submissions, with the final assessment carried out by HHJ Coe KC and HHJ Owen.

President Lauren Crow declared Elizabeth Cole from Gateley Legal as the winner of the 2024 competition. Unfortunately, Elizabeth was unable to be present at the dinner due to prior commitments. Finalists Harriet and Bridget received accolades for their essays on Sustainable Development Goals.

The Society would like to thank our event sponsors, BCL Legal, for their generous support, as well as to Revolucion De Cuba for their outstanding hospitality. We are also thankful to for capturing the event through his official photography.

Additionally, we extend our appreciation to all the attendees who played a part in the event's success. This gathering offers a fantastic chance to unite and celebrate the county's recent achievements in the legal field. We wish everyone continued success in their legal pursuits!
