On Wednesday 21st October, we were delighted to host the Legal Futures: New Professionals Reception at the historic National Justice Museum, marking the beginning of the legal journey for junior professionals in Nottinghamshire.
The event was graced by Nottinghamshire Law Society President, Marie Dancer, alongside the distinguished His Honour Judge Shant KC and Employment Tribunal Judge Ashley Frederick-Bowyers, who warmly welcomed attendees. The evening began with lively conversations and the forging of new connections within our legal community.
Set against the impressive backdrop of the Grand Court Room, the evening featured inspiring presentations from President Marie Dancer, Professor Jane Jarman (Education & Training Committee), Daniel Harley (International Chair), Shannon Mould (NJLD Chair), and Elliot Bedwell-Mintz (Co-Chair, Equality & Diversity Committee).
Following the presentations, guests enjoyed networking drinks and canapés in the Grand Jury Room, where stories were shared about training contracts, legal studies, and the inspiration drawn from our esteemed judicial guests.
We’d also like to extend our thanks to FRESH Professional Development for kindly sponsoring the event, to the National Justice Museum for their generous hospitality, and to Jay Glenn for his excellent photography skills.
