The Panelists
Lubna Shuja, Vice President of The Law Society of England & Wales.
Lubna took office as Deputy Vice President on 14th October 2020, becoming Vice President in 2021. Lubna is a principal solicitor at Legal Swan Solicitors in Birmingham. She specialises in professional discipline and regulation.
Lubna is an expert in various areas of mediation is dual qualified as a Civil Mediator and Family Mediator. Lubna is also a Council Member on the board of Birmingham Law Society.
Sally Azarmi, Azarmi Law
Sally Azarmi set up her own boutique City immigration firm nine years ago, following18 years of practising, latterly as a partner, in large law firms. With her practice roots in shipping and international trade for two City law firms, Sally developed a strong international client base which led naturally to a focus on providing personal and corporate immigration legal services. As an immigration law professional, often dealing with individuals under immense stress, Sally welcomes the current spotlight on mental health. As a member of the Law Society’s Small Firms Division, she fully supports the legal profession’s increased constructive energy towards identifying and dealing with the associated issues of mental health.
Helen Lawson, Wellbeing Training Solutions
Helen Lawson is a freelance wellbeing trainer, speaker and contributing author to Unlocked, From Surviving to Thriving, in which she provides the opening chapter on Resilience. With a background spanning business, education, and health, she is passionate about supporting individuals to proactively develop their skills and abilities to lead happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives.
Helen has worked with the widest range of audiences and her approach is warm, light-hearted, inclusive and intended to leave delegates with a sense of optimism about what they can do to improve their outlook and their outcomes.
Nick O'Neill, LawCare & Oriel Chambers
Nick O’Neill is a solicitor who has held senior management positions in the private/public sector, before moving to the bar as Chambers’ Director at Oriel Chambers in Liverpool. He describes it as “going from herding cats, to chasing butterflies”.
Nick has been a peer supporter for the Lawcare charity for 10 years and is a Lawcare “Champion”, promoting the charity’s amazing work throughout the legal community. Nick graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2010, after studying for an MBA in Legal Practice Management
