Celebrating 150 Years: A Night to Remember at Cleaver & Wake
On Friday 6th June, the Society proudly marked its 150th Anniversary Dinner with a spectacular evening at the elegant Cleaver & Wake. This milestone celebration brought together members, friends, and distinguished guests to honour our legacy and look ahead to a vibrant future.
We were privileged to welcome His Honour Judge Joseph KC as our distinguished guest, alongside international delegates from Karlsruhe and Ghent, whose presence highlighted the enduring strength of our international partnerships.
A particularly special moment of the evening was the premiere of the Society’s commemorative film, “150 Years of the Society”, beautifully produced by Dan Lambourne. The film featured reflections and memories from past Presidents, capturing the spirit, evolution, and impact of the Society over the decades.
Adding to the evening’s significance, we were honoured to be joined by past Presidents from 1991 to 2024, whose leadership has helped shape the Society’s journey.
The atmosphere was elevated by the musical talents of Ryan Latham, while Jay Glenn expertly captured the evening through his photography, preserving the memories of this historic occasion.
We extend our thanks to the International Committee for curating a dynamic and engaging twinning weekend, with the anniversary dinner as its centrepiece. Their dedication ensured a weekend filled with connection, celebration, and cultural exchange.
A sincere thank you also goes to our generous sponsors, whose support made this landmark event possible. Their contributions helped us honour our past while building momentum for the future.
Here’s to 150 years of excellence, community, and progress—and to the many more still to come.
