Becoming a member of the Nottinghamshire Law Society means gaining access to discounted events, social occasions, networking opportunities, members-only content and local offers.

You will become part of one of the oldest local law societies in the country, with a thriving network of over 1300 members.

The membership reflects organisations across all practice areas and includes many national and international law firms as well as boutique, local and regional practices across the country.

How long does my membership last?

Fees are paid annually and last for 12 months.

How much does it Cost?

Solicitors’ Practices:

Each Principal shall pay an annual subscription of £85. *

Employed Solicitors:

Each solicitor employed in industry, local Government, the Court service, and licensed body or other public or private body shall pay an annual subscription of £85.

Barristers:

Each barrister who wishes to become a member of the Society shall pay an annual subscription of £85, save that if all members of a set of chambers agree to join the Society; the subscription shall be reduced to £50 for each member.

Academic Members:

Each academic member shall pay a subscription of £50.

*This includes each partner, director, member of an LLP, sole practitioner or principal by any other title (including all persons treated as a principal by the SRA). We continue to charge no subscriptions in respect of assistants, associates and consultants within practices and those persons automatically become members of the Society without any additional subscription provided they hold a current practising certificate.
