This evening is dedicated to launching our annual Society competitions in style at Revolution De Cuba, and what better way to launch a competition is with a cocktail!
The Society has 3 competitions, which are open for junior lawyers, students, paralegals and pupils to enter, each competition focuses on a different skill and this year we have enhanced the prizes and the whole competition experience with additional free training from the Nottingham Trent University.
Arrival is from 5:30pm, cocktail on arrival and the competition presentation will begin at 6pm. The evening is perfect to network with your fellow legal peers, talk to past competition winners and get ready for the 'A' Game of entering one of our prestigious competitions.
Did you know that entering one of our competitions and reaching a 'final' is worthy to put on your CV and can earn you bonus points at interviews?
Did you know that Nottinghamshire Law Society, is one of very few local law societies that offers competitions such as these to enhance their junior lawyers skills?
Did you know that if you enter the competition you could win work experience and a cash prize this year?
The competitions we have to share with you include:
President's Cup A competition that focuses on the art of legal negotiation.
Kevin De Silva Competition A competition that dedicates itself to the art of writing, this can be a blog, bulletin article - free-style writing this year on a topic that you think is readable!
Hammond Cup The only Advocacy Cup competition in the UK and involves a mock trial, with Nottinghamshire's High Court Judges in situ!
Competition Eligibility:
The competitions are open to students (including LPC, SQE and bar training course) and those still engaged in professional training in the workplace (including trainee solicitors and those doing SRA QWE solicitor and paralegal apprentices, pupil barristers (1st seat only) and paralegals (with up to 2 years' experience) who work and/or study in Nottinghamshire.
