Hi all,

With the sun starting to shine, we are in high spirits here at the NJLD.

We are now half way through our year here. All the committee members are into the swing of things, and we are very excited about what we have planned.


Rounders Tournament – 5 June 2019 – Nottingham Hockey Centre, University Boulevard, NG7 2PS

At the time of this newsletter the NJLD will have held this annual competition.

Rookies and pros alike came together at the Hockey Centre for an evening of friendly competition, delicious food from the BBQ and drinks.

The teams for various firms battled to take home the NJLD Rounders Trophy. Details of the winners and pictures of the event will be circulated in the next edition of the newsletter.


BCL Careers Talk - 27 June 2019 - Alea Casino Nottingham - Function Room

Covering private practice, the specialist consultants from BCL and a guest speaker will provide an insight into legal careers in Nottingham and throughout the UK including:

 * Career pathways up to partnership and challenges for junior lawyers

 * Managing applications

 * How the legal market has changed and insights into upcoming changes

 * Salaries

Following the presentation the BCL team will provide complimentary food and drink, with an opportunity to network with peers from other law firms within the region.

Summer Soirée – 19 July 2019 – Goosedale Nottingham – Garden Room

The NJLD’s highlight summer event of the year is upon us, and will be held in the heart of Nottinghamshire’s countryside. Guests will be treated to a live outdoor BBQ, entertainment and an afterparty. We will shortly be releasing further details of this event. Watch this space!
