Welcome to my latest bulletin as Chair of the NJLD for 2021. I hope you are all keeping safe and well.

Our events are now in full swing after our recent Cocktail Making evening and we have further exciting events planned before the end of 2021.  Details will be forwarded to members by our Marketing Secretaries in due course.

Cocktail Masterclass at The Alchemist - 30 September 2021

Our first in-person event of the year took place recently at The Alchemist in the City Centre and a lot of fun was had by all.   Thank you to BCL Legal for their kind sponsorship of the event.

Photographs of the event are below for your general enjoyment.

We are always looking for new members to boost the NJLD throughout the region. Sign up now so that you don't miss out on everything the NJLD has to offer during 2021.

As you know, we have not been able to hold most of our planned social activities and events this year. As a result, we have rolled the Nottinghamshire Junior Lawyers Division membership forward for 2021. If you are already a member, then your membership has automatically continued in 2021, free of charge.

Should you be interested in joining the NJLD or have any questions in respect of membership, please do not hesitate to contact our membership secretary, Jessica Jesson, via JessicaJesson@eversheds-sutherland.com.  Alternatively, please contact me on Andrew.Dennis@gateleylegal.com.

If your firm, chamber or company has placement students, Paralegals, Pupil Barristers, Trainees or newly qualified Solicitors / recently called Barristers (up to 5 years PQE/BPTC) then consider the benefits that the NJLD's educational, professional, social and sporting networks can offer them.  For further information please see the NJLD Webpage https://www.nottslawsoc.org/about-njld

And finally - Save the Date!

I am delighted to announce that we can finally announce the long awaited NJLD Winter Ball will be taking place on Friday 12 November at the Walled Gardens in Beeston.  The theme is roaring 20s Glitz and Glamour - having missed out on a ball in 2020, this is certainly an event not to be missed.

Please keep an eye on your emails over the next 24 hours or so for full details as to how you book your place at this unmissable event!

Should you have any questions in relation to this bulletin, please do not hesitate to contact me via Andrew.dennis@gateleylegal.com.

All the best and stay safe on the corona-coaster,
