NJLD News December 2019

Edition: December 2019

What a year it has been and cannot believe how quickly it has passed. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the 2019 Committee for all their hard work and commitment over the past year. A lot of time and effort goes into organising NJLD events and competitions and these would not be possible without the Committee members giving up their spare time.

A special thank you needs to go to all our sponsors (Bygott Biggs, Shoosmiths, BCL Legal and Nottingham Law School). Without sponsorship, we would not be able to put on all the events throughout the year. Personally, I have enjoyed getting to know all our sponsors and look forward to working with you again in the future.
Finally, I would like to thank our members for attending events, entering competitions and continuing to support the NJLD.

NJLD Winter Ball

On 8th November 2019, we held our biggest event of the year – The Winter Ball. Over 170 people joined us for a circus themed night. Our Ball Secretaries, Yasmine Roff and Gavin Gill did an amazing job organising the event. I hope everyone attending had a good time.

We had a raffle on the night to raise money for Improving Lives Nottingham. Local Firms and Businesses generously donated a variety of prizes (including, alcohol, gift vouchers, a fit bit, £250 in ?ight vouchers and many more amazing prizes) I am very pleased to raised money for such a great cause within the local community.

New Committee

A new committee has been elected and you will be hearing from them in due course. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new
year!
