Autumn leaves are falling and at the end of October we will be turning the clocks back – if only we could turn back time as it certainly is flying past….

So, what has been happening here at the Hub this September and what is to come?

The Society opened its doors to the first cohort of PSC Core trainees, who Ii would like to congratulate again on their fantastic results on the Financial and Business Skills exam.  We were blessed to have with us trainees from Roythornes, Austin Moore & Partners, Rothera Sharp Fraser Brown.

As you know social media has a key role in the success of how the Society is promoting itself to the membership and the world!

The social media posts celebrating the success of the PSC’s exam results were received by over 3,000 views as well as likes, retweets & shares – wow the power of social media!

We have programmed two social media courses this autumn, the first in September on Twitter was a quiet session, however the next one scheduled for 15th October on LinkedIn will be a busy class.  If you still need help to refine your LinkedIn profile platform for you as a professional or your firm/chambers, there is still time to book in full details here!

Other areas addressed this month have been:-

Continuing our charity involvement, we held our first fashion show evening with Nottingham boutiques, Stick & Ribbon and Keishi Jewellery.  The Lace Market Hotel shared it's hospitality of prosecco and canapes with our guests as we watched how to perfectly wear our jeans and jewellery whatever the occasion.  A charity raffle helped raised £150 for the charity Jeans for Genes - thank you to all those that attended and made the evening a success!

The month was finally concluded with the annual Beer Festival!

The Castle Pub showcased another medley of ales & ciders as well many pies and live music was provided by guitarist and vocalist Matt Turner.

A huge thank you to the Castle Pub team for helping organise the annual event, one not to be missed off the calendar - full gallery here...

What’s up and coming…..

I look forward to seeing you at some of the events!

Best wishes,

Michelle
