NJLD News September 2019

Now that the Inter-Professional Summer Soiree has come and gone, it seems that Summer is coming to an end! There will however still be more networking, educational and sporting activities for you to get involved with, including NJLD Winter Ball.

Summer Soirée - 19th July 2019

The annual NJLD Summer Soiree took place at the end of July. It was great to see over 110 NJLD members there, making it another well attended event for the year. Unfortunately the rain decided to make an appearance, so we had an indoor BBQ followed by excessively large cookies, music and dressing up in cheesy props in the photo booth (whilst there are some interesting pictures, we thought it would be best not to circulate these pictures in the newsletter)! On behalf of the committee, we hope you had as much fun as we did on the night.

Thank you to Shoosmiths and BCL Legal Recruitment for their sponsorship for this event and joining us on the night. Without the support of our sponsors, our events would not be as memorable as they are.

It still seems far away, however the biggest Junior Lawyers event of the year is slowly creeping up on us! The Nottinghamshire Junior Lawyers Ball is always an extremely fun night and this Ball promises to surpass all previous years. Our Ball Secretaries are being very secretive, however, I can assure you they are pulling out all the stops so get excited and save the date!

More information about this event will follow in due course.

Reminder - membership

NJLD yearly membership comes to an end on 31st August 2019. We will be sending out membership renewal forms soon. Membership is £20 (£10 for students) for the year. We encourage firms to contribute to this cost. If you have any questions regarding membership please contact our membership secretary.
