On Wednesday 16th October, we all gathered at National Justice Museum, High Pavement to welcome all the new trainee solicitors and pupil barristers, along with their representatives.  It was a full entrance foyer at first, until everyone entered the Court Room, where they were welcomed by President Jason Waghorne.

Presentations were also given by Helen Fanning, Chair of the Education & Training Committee, Billy Shaw prize winner of the President's Cup 2018, Donna Smith from Odonnata and our sponsor representative, Andrew Dines from FRESH.

Our guests were inspired to travel overseas with a short speech from Daniel Harley, Chair of the International Committee and Billy Shaw gave a brief introduction of his travels to Karlsruhe.

The Junior Lawyers division were represented by Chair, Jay Singh and representative Laura Such, all inspiring everyone to get involved in their fun-packed diary.

Finally, after closing words from President Jason Waghorne, everyone re-convened in the Jury room for drinks, canapes and networking.  The room was a buzz of chat, smiles and friendships forming.
